Problem
Key Challenges
- Diverse Wellness Practices: How can we create a unified platform that serves multiple wellness categories (yoga, meditation, and general wellness) while keeping the user experience simple?
- Platform Navigation: Ensuring users can easily find and book classes without feeling overwhelmed by too many options.
- Lack of Practitioner Tools: Providing effective tools for managing schedules and client engagement to support practitioners’ growth.
- Limited Trust-Building Mechanisms: Users hesitated to try new instructors due to insufficient information about practitioner credentials and reviews.
Proposed Solution
The solution is to design a comprehensive wellness platform that serves both users and practitioners, allows users to easily explore yoga, meditation, and wellness classes. For practitioners, the platform would feature easy class management tools, client engagement features, and growth tracking. We also emphasized creating a community-driven space to foster deeper connections.
- Streamlined Search and Discovery: Advanced filters for class type, time, difficulty, and instructor preferences. Personalized recommendations to reduce decision fatigue.
- Detailed Practitioner Profiles: Highlight certifications, testimonials, and schedules to build trust and support user decision-making. Creating tools that allow practitioners to manage their classes, engage with clients, and track their growth.
- Community-Driven Features : Add live-streamed classes, interactive events, and a ratings/reviews system to enhance user engagement.
- Simplified Booking and Scheduling: Develop an intuitive booking system with calendar sync and reminders, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience for users.

Design Process
Information architecture
Mapped the platform’s architecture to ensure smooth navigation. Key flows include:
- User Flows: Browsing classes → Booking a class → Reviewing session
- Practitioner Flows: Creating a profile → Setting up classes → Managing bookings
- Navigation was helpful to find out key way to visualize how the user would navigate through the website. It also helps to list out all of the features

Hi-Fidelity Mockup
Developed initial mockups to visualize the layout and key interactions. Core screens include:
- Home Page: Simplified navigation with options to explore yoga, meditation, and wellness offerings.
- Class Search and Filter: Dynamic filters for time, location, level, and modality (yoga, meditation, wellness).
- Practitioner Dashboard: Tools for managing class schedules, client bookings, and performance analytics.

Usability Testing
We conducted usability testing with users. Observing how easily users could navigate the platform and book classes. Practitioner platform is in the design phase. Feedback loops will focus on refining key features before full development.
Testing Methodology
- User Testing: Evaluate the ease of navigation and booking features.
- Practitioner Feedback: Assess the usability of class management and engagement tools.
Insights & Iterations
- Insight: Gather feedback on usability and navigation simplicity.
- Iteration: Refine personalized class recommendations based on user feedback.
